As I am preparing for my next creative board workshop, it gave me food for thought yet again – am I truly a creator of life or am I at times still acting out being a victim? This is confronting as none of us likes to think we are victims of our circumstances.

creator of life

Yet, when we stop and make the time to look and reflect on our lives, it takes humility to acknowledge that there are times where we hold ourselves back with our mindset. And it can be a victim mindset. Yuck! That is not me, we yell out. However, when we keep telling ourselves that we never get what we want, how we want, etc due to outside circumstances, we are blaming everyone and everything else for our lack of success, achievement, love, etc.

My experience has been this as well as not truly believing I could achieve. I did all the affirmations, visualisations, writing down what I wanted (when I finally worked that out) and creating a vision board. Yet it was still all so very elusive. I began to feel a failure, woe is me, and what is the point.

an aha moment

Then a light bulb went off when I watched a TV programme as to why affirmations do not necessarily work. If you do not believe it, no matter how many times you write affirming sentences and stick them all over your bathroom, bedroom, ceilings and in your car, it is not going to happen the way you want it. Something is still missing.

What it showed me was my beliefs and my desires were not in alignment. They were incongruent. Deep within in me, I still had deeply entrenched perceptions of myself and still living with fear. No wonder, I was not moving forward the way I wanted to and envisioned.

That is all changing. And my life is getting better and better. And that is why I have created this workshop to help you get in touch with what is holding you back in a safe, gentle, loving and fun environment.

Making a true decision means committing to achieving a result, and then cutting yourself
