Sit at the end your busy day and listen to what is happening with your mind.
Take a moment to get yourself comfortable. Scan your body to bring you into the present moment before you start scanning back through your day.
Name – each emotion, feeling, circumstance that comes to mind
Acknowledge – acknowledge that is there without judgment. This stops you from ignoring what is there.
Accept – accept that is how you are feeling and don’t dwell on it.
Release – exhale and let it go to stop reliving it.
Listen to whatever comes up. This lessens the intensity of whatever you are experiencing. It also helps you not to create more than what is actually there; a thought or a feeling. This takes time and practice. And it can be done anywhere anytime. It is important to sit still and listen to what is happening for you as it changes how to react to situations.
