precious moments

‘There is never enough time.’ Is this ringing any bells? Are you multitasking to get everything you want to do done before you have fun?

What would happen if you stopped, turned your mobile off, didn’t worry about answering emails and Facebook posts and you were simply present? It could be with your children, animals, friends, cooking something delicious, or sitting in your garden.

Imagine how that would make you feel. When you are fully present with what you are doing, you feel more engaged, light hearted, it is fun, warms your heart and so much more. It only has to be for a few moments to feel the difference.

There is a real sense of satisfaction knowing you are not robbing yourself of precious moments and getting caught with feelings of guilt of not being a great parent, friend, daughter, wife or a great entrepreneur. It is about creating harmony.

Last Friday, I woke up and made a snap decision to take the morning off and lounge around. It was the best thing I could have done for myself. After a couple of hours, I felt bright, revitalised, and above all, proud of myself for listening to what I needed – precious moments to myself.

Enjoy your week creating precious moments.
