When women come together something truly magical happens. That is the power of a women’s circle. This was shown to me again today as I conducted my guided meditation session with a group of women.

women’s circle – the feminine experience

It has taken me a long time to get to this point of really wanting to be part of and create my own women’s circle. For years all I wanted to be was a boy as they were revered in my European background. Which by the way, I could never understand. My father used to call me a suffragette because I was constantly going against the grain to his, in my opinion, antiquated views about women and how they should be and behave. And at the same time, I didn’t get women and being feminine as I was too busy being masculine and male. Confused? I was for many years.

Not only that I felt lost and lonely. I didn’t know what being feminine or female meant. There was no connection to my grandmothers as I was either living in a different country or didn’t speak French. So I missed out on their wisdom and the wisdom of their mother, aunts, and cousins. And now it is lost as they are now both spirits in my life.

What I finally came to realise is that there is power in a women’s circle. There is so much wisdom to be shared with each other from all around the world. It is powerful and transformative bringing us back into to our feminine and creating harmony again in our lives.

reconnecting to our powerful feminine energy

What I realised was that we lose a big part of ourselves that is loving, nurturing, caring, understanding, supportive and kind when we disconnect to our feminine and girlfriends. It can feel very isolating and lonely with no-one to talk to and share things with – that is all things woman. Yes, you may have some trusty girlfriends that you can share intimately with. And they aren’t always available leading their own busy lives.

In a women’s circle, there is always someone available to chat to. Someone to hold you on your space and have your back. It is a safe space to voice your concerns, anxieties, feelings of overwhelm and inadequacy, no matter how trivial they may seem to you. Someone somewhere in the world will relate to you to validate your experience and help you reconnect to your powerful feminine energy.

Here we share our wisdom with each other. Some of us will have stories to tell from our foremothers imparting their knowledge and experience with us. And the wonderful part is that because of the digital age, we get to connect to such a wonderful variety of backgrounds and beliefs that we can bring into our lives. New input, yet similar.

soulful feminine inspiration

We have lost trust in ourselves over the years as women and what we hold dear was no longer valid or worthy. Our feminine spirit was crushed (and not out) and trampled on. Now there is a longing to come home and to feel inspired by each other again.  We want to reconnect with each other to laugh, cry, share, feel and explore our feminine presence. To celebrate being a Woman!

Sharing with each other validates our experiences. It connects us to our innate wisdom and that of our ancestors. This is what is at the core of our very being – allowing wisdom to flow out full of love, courage, acceptance and strength. It is powerfully transformative.

Being feminine is deeply seated in our hearts and souls. It gives us a sense of belonging and being part of something bigger than ourselves. I kidded myself for years that I didn’t need this. Yet, now I realise that I do. I am sure a lot of you do, too. We gloss over what we want forever being there for others allowing ourselves to be lead by their needs, stories, limiting beliefs and lack of self-worth.

stepping out of  your comfort zone

It takes courage to step out of your comfort zone and connect to a new group of women. Furthermore, feelings of self-doubt, fear, and anxiety may arise. This is normal. Putting yourself out there is scary, particularly in a new group. However, if the group resonates trust your gut always remembering you can leave. There is no right or wrong and you aren’t beholden to the group. Yes, there will be guidelines to adhere to keeping the group safe and welcoming.

What you will find once you have found your group is that you will look forward to participating and being an integral part of the circle. You will begin to let your guard down and give yourself permission to feel, share and be vulnerable. You will enjoy and appreciate finding your voice wanting to comment on other people’s experiences. This opens us all up to new experiences and a fresh perspective on our lives and the world at large.

time for you

Remember you are worthy of having all that you want and desire in life. A women’s circle helps you connect to what you want and how to bring that into your life. Being witnessed is very powerful as other’s can see your growth often before you do. You are seen for who you are, not for who you think you need to be. That is sacred!
